Overview:

Anjuman-e-Fakhri (Mississauga) is a registered charity (810614743 RR 0001), representing the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim community of Mississauga and surrounding cities. We are the devoted followers of the 53rd spiritual leader, His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin (TUS).

The charitable organization works towards both the spiritual and material upliftment of the community members.  The organization offers a range of services some of which include conducting regular prayers and sermons; imparting religious knowledge through weekend classes for children above the age of four years; offering networking and education and career counselling opportunities for youth; and assisting community members with business development, housing, etc.

We are equally committed to making a positive contribution to the local community through our continuous engagement with the Mississauga Food Bank, environmental conservation efforts by undertaking regular park clean-ups, and fostering inclusivity by establishing relations with the Indigenous and other ethnic, religious and minority groups in the region.

History:

The Dawoodi Bohras started arriving in the Greater Toronto Area in the early 1960s from various parts of the world and made Canada their home. For over 15 years, more than 400 Bohra families have contributed to Mississauga’s economic and cultural growth and with new families arriving each year, the community continues to flourish and expand to nearby cities including Brampton, Milton, Oakville, and others. The community takes pride in its diversity with people hailing from different backgrounds and professions—business owners, doctors, engineers, lawyers, IT professionals, accountants, teachers, and so on.
